PSN is back up. Multiplayer is available, but store is down. Also a rant.

In addition to this news customers will be able to pick 2 games from a list of 5 for free, but you have to claim them within 30 days of the PSN being restored.

The following games will be available for North America:
  • Dead Nation
  • inFAMOUS
  • LittleBigPlanet
  • Super Stardust HD
  • Wipeout HD + Fury
  • LittleBigPlanet PSP
  • ModNation Racers PSP
  • Pursuit Force PSP
  • Killzone Liberation PSP
And the following games will be available for Europe:
  • LittleBigPlanet
  • Infamous
  • Wipeout HD/Fury
  • Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty
  • Dead Nation

  • LittleBigPlanet PSP
  • ModNation PSP
  • Pursuit Force PSP
  • Killzone Liberation PSP

This part is a Rant:
This is a nice bit of news, but I'm still upset by the fact that they removed the OtherOS feature and that they haven't made a substitute for it like an app store. For a console that "does everything" it is real fucking shitty. The browser is garbage, 240p youtube videos, many video sites don't work, streaming doesn't work, pages don't display correctly, and overall it is a pile of shit. The Netflix app is okay, but Sony decided to shove their dick in it by forcing you to sign in to the PSN to use it. I know that you could get around this during the outage, but before the outage you couldn't use it unless you updated the PS3 which is a pain in the ass if you just want to watch a fucking movie. Overall, I would like to say that I am glad that this bad news happened to Sony even though it won't change shit.

  1. Not sure if the games are good or not, but at least there's some compensation.

  2. It would be funny if the pstore is down for more than a month and then nobody can download their free games.
